Dublin City Wedding Shoot

Last November I was asked by the lovely ladies in Pretty As A Picture to do the makeup for a wedding shoot in Dublin.

So together with some amazing wedding suppliers we styled a Dublin City wedding which would inspire couples thinking of getting married in the city. The ceremony was photographed in Dublin City Hall, then we moved on to St. Stephen’s Green and finally the reception took place in Locks Brasserie on the canal. Below are some behind the scene shots from the day…

There was a huge amount of planning and coordinating on everyone’s part and I really think the final shots are a beautiful reflection of the hard work. It was such a pleasure working with this team of talented people and I hope they inspire you as much as they did me!

Bridal Shoot, Trudder Lodge

Trudder Lodge is a beautiful venue in the quiet surroundings of Newcastle in County Wicklow, just off the N11 and a few months ago I had the pleasure of working with a great group of wedding suppliers on a project that would showcase both this gorgeous venue and our own work.

We had hoped for a lovely sunny, dry day to get some shots of the amazing grounds and gardens that surround the house but unfortunately we got floods and torrential rain! However we certainly weren’t short of photographic opportunities in the house, from the large dining rooms to the stunning bedrooms over looking the gardens, it was a long day but very much worth it and you can see from these shots.

The team consisted of: Dresses by Anne Gregory Design, photgraphy by HolstPhoto, hair by Kate Sophistikates Cleary and flowers & decoration details by Fussy Peacock Design – Wedding and Event Florist.

Happy Holidays!

2011 was a very busy, exciting year for me and I met so many brilliant and lovely people, from photographers, designers, models and of course all the beautiful brides and their families and friends I had the pleasure of working with.

Thank you all so much for your support over the last year and I wish you all a fabulous and safe Christmas and New Year. I’m really looking forward to what 2012 has to bring and all the new experiences that lie ahead!

Test Shoot with Peter Evers

Last Saturday I had the chance to do a test shoot with well known Irish Photographer Peter Evers, http://www.peterevers.ie. We did an outdoor shoot in Deer Park in Howth and then headed back to the warmth of his Baldoyle studio for more shots. Peter was trying out some new techniques and went back to using film for some of his shots, for a more organic look.

It was a long 12 hour day but well worth it with some great photographs resulting. Our 2 gorgeous models, Amber and Aoife from Morgan The Agency wore some amazing dresses chosen by the stylist Lee and did a great job withstanding the elements. Below is just one of the shots (of Aoife) and you can see the rest of the shots on my fashion gallery page.
