Charlotte Tilbury Make-Up

For those of you who know and have followed make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury and her career over the past 20 years you’ll probably be as interested as me to see and try her new range of skincare and make-up products.

Launching on Monday September 2 in Selfridges in London, her thinking and philosophy behind the range is that everyone should have access to fabulous products without being intimidated or scared and they should be easy for women to wear.

She told Vogue.co.uk

“I just think beauty shouldn’t be an exclusive club – everyone should be able to look good,”

“We’re all time-poor and I think beauty counters can be so overwhelming, which is why everything comes with proper instructions and has been designed to suit one of the 10 types of woman that I have identified – from the Rebel to the Ingenue.”

I really like the art deco inspired packaging and some of the products have already caught me eye such as the lipstick and Sculpt & Highlight but the one I really can’t wait to get my hands on is her top secret ‘Magic Cream’ that she mixes herself and swears by.

W Magazine Anniversary Issue – Nov 2012

The W Magazine Anniversary Issue – Nov 2012 will have 4 different covers, each featuring a top Hollywood actress who will help recreate the fashion decades that W has covered from the 1970′s to the 2000′s.

Actress Keira Knightley portrays 2000′s, Scarlett Johansson the 90′s, Mia Wasikowska is 80′s and Rooney Mara the 70′s.

They’re each wearing designs from top international fashion houses:

Keira is wearing Chanel braided tweed jacket. Scarlett wears a Dolce & Gabbana silk lace dress and silk and lace bodysuit. Mia is wearing Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière wool jacquard bustier and Rooney wears Prada silk and wool coat and dress, embellished cotton poplin shirt and an Albertus Swanepoel hat.

W Magazine always do something a little more out there when they do celebrity shoots and I love the make-up in all these shots. My favourite is definitely Keira though. She looks completely different and so striking! The short peroxide hair, the strong brows, the contouring on her face that really highlights her fabulous bone structure and the lip colour… it’s very Hollywood icon but with a modern twist and she looks amazing.

Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model 2012 Winner

So the final of Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model 2012 was on last night and Letitia was crowned winner. I didn’t really watch it as religiously this year as I have in previous years but I do think they had a great line up of girls and some stunners including Cork girl Lisa Madden who made it to the last 4.

I have to say I get quite bored of the fighting and bitching that goes on between the girls although I know that’s a big part of the show in terms of getting viewers. My favourite part each week is the styling and make-up that they girls go through and in particular the episode where they get their major transformation. I love seeing how they change their look completely with a haircut or colour.

So what do you think, did they pick the right winner?

Disney Goes Fashion by Sashii-Kami

I’m a sucker for anything Disney so when I saw these drawings titled ‘Disney Goes Fashion’ by artist Sashii-Kami I fell in love. These fashion sketches inspired by Disney characters are just stunning with their statuesque figures, chiseled jaws and vibrant colors. The selection is amazing and she’s even done some portraying male villains. I don’t know if I could possibly pick a favourite but I love Snow White and Ariel and check out the thigh high boots on Pocahontas!
